Hi. my name is Philip Hanaburgh.I am a stroke survivor.I live in Cape Coral Florida.on May 23, 2007 I woke up completely paralyzed on my left side.I went to bed like anyother night,believeing that I would get up the next morning like I had for 50 years and go about my business.not a worry.My stroke started when an aneurysm in my brain was disturbed by a tiny clot in my body flowing through and breaking apart a small piece that started a small bleed on the right side of my brain.The aneurysm was and still is inoperable.I have spent the last two years recovering what evr I could. I am not complaining,because I was one of the lucky ones that gets a chance to try again.I believe that my time wasn't up and that the good lord has other plans for me.I had no clue that stroke was so prevalent and the damage it causes to entire families of the afflicted person,both the deceased and survivors.after the stroke I searched for answers and found only medical related books for reasons and prevention. I wanted something that would let me know what I had coming in the way of living,getting better there were a few books written by Dr's in the field that explained things,but they alwaysmade me think,how could they really know without experienceing one themselves? That was when I came up with the idea.I needed to write down  my experience from start to 18 months post stroke.There was so much to say,but I am a contractor,not a writer.I figured if I could survive a stroke ,I could write a book.for me; I started with the title. Are you Ready?
