I have been living with a large avm.aneurysm.I saw many doctors after my initial rupture that caused a severe stroke and changed my life forever.living with this time bomb for two and a half years post rupture, has placed a strain on my wife Paola and my kids. I felt like it would be OK if I kept my blood pressure in check.1and1/2 years after my stroke I started having seizures, that developed into Epilepsy.Common after stroke and other brain trauma.I had a severe knock down type seizure in Church 4 weeks ago.I was taken to the hospital and had aC.T. MY EIGHTH since the initial. My neuro surgeon wanted to do another angiogram to check the status. He wasn't happy with the condition of the vessel. He told us of a new procedure using Stents in the brain.I agreed to the surgery and had it done on 9-30-09 I was in preop at 9:30 AM for surgery.the Dr. placed 4 stents in the artery and finished in 2 1/2 hours.1 day recovery in ICUand walked out at 4PM the next day.this is cutting edge procedure with no cutting.all of it done from the groin, femoral artery to the brain.I am now feeling more clarity in my thinking and hoping for what ever may come my way.Health Park Hospital in Ft. Myers Fl.You have given me the chance to live again, without that nagging thought of another stroke. Thanks to you all.My friends
